বেগম খালেদা জিয়া (১৯৪৬-২০২৫) এক মহাকালের সমাপ্তি...
তিনবারের সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী, গণতন্ত্র পুনরুদ্ধারের আপোষহীন নেত্রী, বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার মৃত্যুতে ওরিয়ন গ্রুপ গভীরভাবে শোকাহত (ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন)। দেশের সংকটকালের দৃঢ়চেতা কাণ্ডারী - যিনি সাহস, আত্মমর্যাদা ও আপোষহীন নেতৃত্ব দিয়ে জাতিকে উন্নয়নের পথ দেখিয়েছেন। গণতন্ত্র পুনরুদ্ধার, দেশের উন্নয়ন এবং জাতীয় স্বার্থ রক্ষায় দেশপ্রেম, ত্যাগ ও সংগ্রামের যে দৃষ্টান্ত তিনি রেখে গেছেন, তা প্রজন্মের পর প্রজন্মকে অনুপ্রাণিত করবে। ওরিয়ন গ্রুপ গভীর শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে এই মহান নেত্রীর অবদান স্মরণ করছে এবং তাঁর বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করছে। আমরা তার শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবার- পরিজন, সহযোদ্ধা ও অসংখ্য শুভানুধ্যায়ীদের প্রতি আন্তরিক সমবেদনা জ্ঞাপন করছি। আল্লাহ তা'আলা তাঁকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদাউস নসিব করুন এবং দেশবাসীকে এই গভীর শোক সহ্য করার শক্তি দান করুন। আমিন।
Assistance to a cancer patient
ORION GROUP has recently contributed with monitory donation for the treatment of Mr. Kazi Ekramul Bashar (Tuhin), a former player of Bangladesh National Team and a member of Mohamedan Football Club. Mr. Tuhin has been suffering from Lung Cancer for last few years. On behalf of Mr. Mohammad Obaidul Karim, Honorable Chairman of ORION GROUP, a cheque of BDT Two Lacs was handed over by Mr. Sazed Karim, AVP, Admin and Mr. Faisal Rahman Ferdous, AVP, HR of Orion Group to Mr. Tuhin’s brother Mr. Habibul Bashar Sumon, for the treatment of cancer with a commitment of further assistance.

Receiving Foreign Refinancing Facility of USD 36.00 million by Orion Power Meghnaghat Limited, a subsidiary company of Orion Pharma Limited
Orion Power Meghnaghat Limited, a subsidiary company of Orion Pharma Limited, has been awarded with a Foreign Refinancing Facility of USD 36.00 million with an interest rate of 4.30% + 1 month LIBOR per annum for 3 years from Mashreq Bank psc, Dubai, UAE.
The fund will be used for refinancing the Syndicated Local Loan which was raised with the interest rate of 15% per annum. This refinancing will help to save a huge amount of Financial Cost that will ultimately have a positive impact on the profitability of Orion Power Meghnaghat Limited.
As OPL is holding 95% share of OPML, OPL’s profitability shall also increase by 2.80% that is increase in EPS of BDT. 0.19

Orion Medical Scholarship
Corporate Social Responsibility: Orion Medical Scholarship As a continuation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Orion Pharma Ltd., one of the leading Pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh conducted “Orion Medical Scholarship Program” at Orion House on 02 Feb 2016 presided by Company Director Mrs. Arzuda Karim. Orion Phama always appreciates the 'going-to-be-doctor' who already got admitted into the medical college and decided to sacrifice their life in exchange of bringing smile to the face of ailing humanity. Orion Pharma Ltd. has decided to be with those masterminds in this voyage towards a noble mission by offering scholarship to those medical students of the country who cannot afford the exorbitant cost of medical education. Orion Pharma Ltd. is offering scholarships to 20 (twenty) students from different Govt. Medical Colleges with 4 (four) students from each academic year (1st year to 5th year). All poor and meritorious students of each year (1st year to 5th year) from different Govt. Medical Colleges are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The program ended up with proving Scholarship cheque to 08 Medical Students from different Medical Colleges. Medical students along with their parents were present on this auspicious program and showed heartfelt gratitude to Orion Pharma Management for this noble effort.

Orion distributes blanket and winter clothes to the orphan and underprivileged
Every year, during winter and rainy seasons, Orion Group distributes clothes to the distressed people. As part of Group’s CSR, we are distributing blanket and warm clothes in this winter to the poor people. On January 02, 2016, Orion has distributed warm clothes and blanket to the orphan and underprivileged students in a local orphanage in Dhaka. The Head of Administration of Orion Group Mr. Sazed Karim (in the picture) headed the team of Orion during distribution.
