Orion offers 'Orion Medical Scholarship'
As a continuation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Orion Pharma Ltd. Conducted an inauguration ceremony of "Orion Medical Scholarship" at "Orion Renal & General Hospital" Kalabagan, Dhaka on 27 April, 2019 presided by Director of ORION and Trustee of Orion Pharma Welfare Trust Mrs. Arzuda Karim. Orion Pharma always appreciates the 'going-to-be-doctor' who already got admitted into the medical college and decided to sacrifice their life in exchange of bringing smile to the face of ailing humanity. Orion Pharma Ltd. has decided to be with those masterminds in this voyage towards a noble mission by offering scholarship to those medical students of the country who cannot afford the exorbitant cost of medical education. All together 07 (Seven) students are awarded by Orion Pharma Welfare trust through a random lottery process. These selected students will enjoy all the facilities under the "Orion Medical Scholarship" programme, from their 1st to 5th academic year. All poor and meritorious students from different Govt. Medical Colleges are eligible to apply for this scholarship in the beginning of their first academic year. Medical students along with their parents were present on this auspicious program and showed heartfelt gratitude to Orion Pharma Management for this noble effort.

The occasion was also graced by the Director and Trustee of Orion Pharma Welfare Trust Mrs. Arzuda Karim and Managing Director of Orion Salman Obaidul Karim. Orion Pharma always encourages the 'going-to-be-doctor' who already got admitted into the medical college and decided to sacrifice their lives in exchange of bringing smile to the face of ailing humanity. Orion Pharma Ltd. has decided to be associated with those masterminds in this voyage towards a noble mission by offering scholarship to those medical students of the country who hardly can afford the exorbitant cost of medical education. The underprivileged, poor and meritorious students of each year (1st year to 5th year) from different Govt. Medical Colleges are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Medical students along with their parents were present on this auspicious program and showed heartfelt gratitude to Orion Pharma Management for this noble effort.

Orion Pharma always appreciates the 'going-to-be-doctor' who already got admitted into the medical college and decided to sacrifice their life in exchange of bringing smile to the face of ailing humanity. Orion Pharma Ltd. has decided to be with those masterminds in this voyage towards a noble mission by offering scholarship to those medical students of the country who cannot afford the exorbitant cost of medical education. Medical Colleges with 5 (five) students from each academic year (1st year to 5th year). All poor and meritorious students of each year (1st year to 5th year) from different Govt. Medical Colleges are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The program ended up with proving Scholarship cheque to 05 Medical Students from different Medical Colleges. Medical students along with their parents were present on this auspicious program and showed heartfelt gratitude to Orion Pharma Management for this noble effort.
Humanitarian Aid For The Flood Affected People
Orion Group has always been a frontrunner when it comes to humanitarian issues and relief efforts for affected people in crisis. As a recent flood affected many districts in Bangladesh, Orion has stepped in to help out the flood victims who have been suffering from malnutrition, waterborne diseases, and an acute shortage of drinking water & food. Recently Orion served dry food and mineral water to more than five hundred people (500) flood victims in Ulipur & Chilmary in Kurigram.
Orion Group distributes clothes to the orphan and students to make their Eid day joyful
Every year, during Eid-Ul-Fitor, Orion Group distributes clothes to the orphan and students to make their Eid day joyful. As part of Group's CSR, we are distributing clothes in this Ramadan to these children. On June 30, 2016, Orion has distributed new clothes and shoes to the orphan and underprivileged students in a local orphanage in Dhaka. The AVP of Administration of Orion Group Mr. Sazed Karim (in the picture) headed the team of Orion during distribution.
Assistance to a cancer patient
ORION GROUP has recently contributed with monitory donation for the treatment of Mr. Kazi Ekramul Bashar (Tuhin), a former player of Bangladesh National Team and a member of Mohamedan Football Club. Mr. Tuhin has been suffering from Lung Cancer for last few years. On behalf of Mr. Mohammad Obaidul Karim, Honorable Chairman of ORION GROUP, a cheque of BDT Two Lacs was handed over by Mr. Sazed Karim, AVP, Admin and Mr. Faisal Rahman Ferdous, AVP, HR of Orion Group to Mr. Tuhin’s brother Mr. Habibul Bashar Sumon, for the treatment of cancer with a commitment of further assistance.

ORION GROUP, as part of its continued commitments towards philanthropic and societal areas, has recently contributed with monitory donation for the treatment of Mr. S. A. Mainul Haque, a former player of Shadhin Bangla Football team and a member of Mohamedan Football Club in Bangladesh. Mr. Mainul Haque has been suffering from Lungs Cancer for last few years. On behalf of Mohammad Obaidul Karim, Honorable Chairman of ORION GROUP, the respected Director of the Group Mrs. Arzuda Karim handed over a cheque of BDT Two Lacs for the treatment of Mr. Mainul Haque with a commitment of further assistance.
Orion Pharma Ltd. introduces 'Rovex' to achieve the target therapeutic goal successfully in hyperlipidemia
'Successfully achieves the target therapeutic goal'-bearing this slogan Orion Pharma Ltd. has launched a new product 'Rovex', at its Corporate Head Quarter, Orion House on 23rd February 2016. 'Rovex' is the Brand of Rosuvastatin available in two different strengths as 5mg & 10mg tablet. Rosuvastatin is the 3rd generation statin which achieves the target therapeutic goal successfully. A number of renowned and experienced physicians from reputed institutions at Dhaka were present on the occasion. Physicians present at the program shared their views about the modern management of hyperlipidemia. The launching program was headed by Mrs. Arzuda Karim, Director of Orion Pharma Ltd. with Managing Director of Orion Group Mr. Salman Obaidul Karim. 'Rovex' & also expressed thanks to all participants for their presence and make the event successful. He also mentioned that all the sister concerns of Orion Group were contributing to the nation.
